چکیده مقاله |
In this study, we synthesized the Zeolitic imidazolate framework (ZIF) for the first time by a new synthesis method. In this synthesis method, ZIF with different particle sizes was obtained by controlling the time of addition of precursor materials and the effect on nucleation and growth phases. The structural properties were investigated by Field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM) images, dynamic light scattering (DLS), energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and X-ray diffraction (XRD) techniques. The FESEM images and DLS results of ZIF's crystal were showed that increasing the addition-precursor time was effectively increased the particle size. In addition, energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) analysis was exhibited that the amount of carbon decreases with increasing precursors-adding time, and the amount of metal and nitrogen increases. In order to use ZIF for oxygen reduction reaction, Nanocarbon-1000 (NC-1000) electrocatalysts powder were obtained by heat treatment of ZIF at 1000 °C, and electrochemical performances were tested on the obtained electrocatalyst by three-electrode. The result shows that although the size difference between the ZIF precursors is significant; nevertheless, the onset potential of the NC-1000 electrocatalysts is almost in the same range, it can be concluded that particle size does not affect the onset potential. |
